Our Hope
Our prayer is that every person who walks through our doors or crosses our path would experience the transforming love of Jesus Christ. Together, we are becoming a community that is:

We Are Growing in Grace
Grace is God's gift of love that meets us exactly where we are and never leaves us there. We believe every person is on a spiritual journey, and no one has "arrived." Whether you are exploring faith for the first time, returning after years away, or have walked with Christ for decades, there is always room to grow.
Growing in grace means allowing God to shape our hearts through worship, prayer, Scripture, meaningful relationships, and service. It means becoming more compassionate, more forgiving, more courageous, and more Christ-like each day. We seek to be a community where questions are welcomed, faith is nurtured, and people are encouraged to take their next step with God.
We are not called to be perfect. We are called to keep growing.
We Are Living in Love
Jesus taught that the greatest commandments are to love God and to love our neighbors. At Lander United Methodist Church, we believe love is not simply a feeling but instead it is the way we choose to live every day.
Living in love means creating a community where people are welcomed, valued, and treated with dignity. It means practicing kindness, extending forgiveness, listening before judging, and choosing compassion over division. We strive to reflect Christ's love in our homes, workplaces, schools, and throughout our community.

We Are Serving Our Neighbors
Faith comes alive when it moves beyond the walls of the church. Jesus continually crossed boundaries to care for people, offer hope, and meet practical needs. We believe God calls us to do the same.
Serving our neighbors means paying attention to the needs around us and responding with generosity, humility, and compassion. It means caring for those who are hurting, supporting families, partnering with local organizations, feeding the hungry, advocating for justice, and investing in the flourishing of our community.
Whether through small acts of kindness or larger opportunities for mission, we believe every person has gifts that can make a difference. Together, we seek to be the hands and feet of Christ in Lander and beyond.
